IASA Job Fair

October 5, 2008

In order to facilitate career advancement opportunities for Principals, Assistant Principals and Deans and to offer a little relief from the looming shortage of quality principals, the Illinois Association of School Administrators (IASA) is again hosting a job fair in conjunction with the Illinois Principals Association (IPA) at the Principals Professional Conference this fall.

The IASA Job Fair will be held Sunday, October 5, 2008 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Cheminee Room of the Hotel Pere Marquette in Peoria. A table and three chairs will be provided to display information about your school’s community and future or current administrative job openings. This is a great opportunity for superintendents to meet and visit with prospective applicants. Conference attendees will be encouraged to attend the job fair with business cards and if they are actively seeking new jobs, with resumes. It is expected that 825+ building administrators will be in attendance at this conference. Each conference attendee will be provided a list of the districts attending and the positions they are looking to fill.

There is a $100 registration fee per school district to participate in the Job Fair. The IASA will provide you with a nametag and “booth” identification. You may send up to three representatives to staff the booth.

I would like to invite you or your representative to be a part of this event. Please pre-register with the attached form as soon as possible since participation is limited to the first 10 registrants. A waiting list will be maintained incase additional spaces open up.
